Latino GLBT History Project
The Latino GLBT History Project (LHP) is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization founded in April 2000 and incorporated in May 2007 to respond to the critical need to preserve and educate about the history of the Latino LGBTQ community in Washington, DC.
To accomplishes our mission, we develop cultural events throughout the year including the DC Latino Pride (first week of June) and the Hispanic GLBT Heritage Month (mid September).
Mission
Our mission is to investigate, collect, preserve and educate about the history, culture, heritage, arts, social and rich contributions of the Latino/Hispanic GLBT community in metropolitan Washington, DC.
